With your help we will map Staten Island in a way that has never been done before. We are seeking volunteers to "warp" hundreds of historical Staten Island atlases into a single online map that will let users see the changes that have occurred over the years at any Island location.  The mapping tool is available from maps.nypl.org.  The Staten Island maps are already scanned and available for "warping".  The process involves dropping "pins" on matching locations on the historical map and the new map. It only takes a few minutes to add a new layer to the map. Watch this video to see how it's done.
Once we have mapped Staten Island we will add lots of fun and interesting content describing historical locations on Staten Island.
